RMK Sprinkling Colors 2012 Spring/Summer Collection

A palette of varied hues, the RMK Sprinkling Colors 2012 Spring/Summer Collection welcomes vibrant and muted shades alike.

Imbued with the brand’s signature nuanced shimmer and sparkle, the collection’s refined iridescence will please makeup connoisseurs.

A palette that consists of a creamy base eye colour and a selection of three powder hues in different tones and textures to use on top of the base. By simply changing the upper layer colour, this collection changes from sweet and pretty to sultry and gorgeous in no time. The gliding base will magnify the lucent, pearlescent powder for a clear shimmering finish to open up your eyes.

Choose from all-rounder Brown, the sophisticated Green and chic Gray. Each combination will add a special spring touch to your season’s look.

The collection sees three limited edition eyeshadow quads, Sprinkling Eyes (S$76), whose distinguishing trait is versatility: The top shadow strip, a smooth cream, changes up the other three hues and can be worn below or above the powder shadows, thanks to its light texture.

The individual colours in these seasonal quads wear well on their own, as well as layered over one another.

Cast some magic over your cheeks with this flattering palette of two hues. First apply the creamy base colour to correct the skin tone, and then apply the cheek powder on top. The two hues work together to deliver soft, crystalline definition to complete the season’s statement look.

Choose from lovely Pink, healthy Orange and sophisticated Brown.

Three limited edition blush duos, Sprinkling Cheeks (S$68), are introduced this spring. All have a light pan on the left, which the brand suggests using as a base for the deeper right shade. Interestingly, the pale shade contains very finely-milled prismatic shimmer which is unusual for blush products.

The shimmery base shade can also be used as a highlighter on the cheekbones.

With its melting creamy texture, RMK Irresistible Lips C defies the boundaries of a lipstick. They are formulated to retain an abundance amount of moisture, bringing you a mouth-watering luster and shine that were previously only possible with lip glosses. Each lipstick is scented with a sweet cassis fragrance to awaken your senses.

A lustrous glide and a berry scent mark the four Irresistible Lips C (S$59) lipsticks that are introduced in this collection. Infused with smooth shimmer, they smoothly hug the lips for a kissable shine. Missing from my photos is 27 Orange, a vibrant coral. As indicated by the names, EX-04 Beige and EX-05 Rose are limited edition.

Four Nail Colour EX (S$25) join the brand’s permanent nail polish line. According to the brand, these nail colours contain ‘polarized pearl’ in their formulation for a glimmering finish.

Comprising fresh and juicy candy tones, these pastel holos are somewhat sheer but suit the lightness of the season they represent. I like the cheery appearance of all four shades combined. :)

The collection also welcomes RMK Ingenious Powder Eyes in SH-10 Greenish Gray (S$59) and SH-09 Gold (S$59) to the brand’s permanent range of shadow singles. These sparkly lovelies stirred my heart with their 3-dimensional effect and the signature RMK glitter impact! I own two RMK sparkle shadows and like them, they apply well, dancing prettily under the light. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to obtain swatches of these two shadows.

RMK Ingenious Natural Eyes N in 07 Purple (S$102), a special eyeshadow quad for subdued shading, joins the permanent makeup range too.

Its complementary hues infused with multi-coloured micro-shimmer are easy to wear, creating a simple or layered eye look with subtle twinkly effect.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the RMK Sprinkling Colors visual.

Next up from the brand are the sweet and whimsical RMK 15th Anniversary Cheek Palettes, which I can’t wait to see in person! For updates on RMK product launches, do join the RMK Singapore Facebook Page.

      Hi Lisa,

RMK is an excellent brand. Rumiko, the makeup artist behind the brand, puts each collection through rigorous trials and experimentation before launching it. Even the applicators are of fine quality. :)

I could always do a CP for you; just let me know! ;)

So jealous you have RMK. The colors are so beautiful, and I love how suited it is for my asian coloring. I wish I could get my hands on this in the states, just like Lisa :)

    Great job reviewing, as always!
