I was recently introduced this little lip gem, thanks to a small package I’d received from Beauty Carousel.
The plastic tube and print look cheap; the packaging is undeniably pared-down. However, this lipgloss has won me over with its performance and I often reach for it these days, especially when I’m using dark eye colours.
I like its jelly texture which – despite the glossy appearance – isn’t overtly sticky. The product actually goes on comfortably and best of all, it doesn’t slide about, hugging my lips nicely. A hybrid between a balm and gloss, it seems to deliver moisture too, which I believe is the result of its silicone contents.
The laminated appearance surprisingly doesn’t come with the dreaded ring around the inner lips or at least I’ve yet to experience it before I’ve wiped off the gloss. Colour-wise, I love the cherry tint that this translucent gloss imparts, giving me a my-lips-but-better look.
And really, though its simple squeeze tube packaging is not much to speak of, I do appreciate that it is more hygienic than gloss wands. This product retails at S$19.90 and can be purchased from Beauty Carousel which ships locally and internationally.
