A surprise coffret of chocolates came from Cadbury Singapore a while back; a shot of sugary joy on a grey afternoon.
Amidst the delightful chocolate avalanche were some of my family’s faves: the classic Dairy Milk (I gave it to my dad who loves this), Bubbly, Top Deck, Dream (the hubs is a fan of white chocolate), Fruit & Nut (my Cadbury choc of choice) – almost boring but always happy treats here in my home.
Also in the sweet stash were the new Cadbury Marvellous Creations: Peanut Toffee Cookie, Jelly & Crunchie Bits and Jelly, Popping Candy and Beanies. My sons are invariably drawn to the last one because of the awesome crackling sensation which I enjoy too. ;) That said, these are actually too sugary for my liking, not to mention sticky (a dentist’s dream, to say the least!) but they are certainly interesting, thanks to their mix of unusual textures.
And since I’m talking about Cadbury, did you know that the brand makes Endearmints, as well? It seems to be an Africa-specific product, though. I love these chewy round mints; they’re super addictive. Fish & Co. used to sell them but they no longer do. I hope Watsons brings them in one day!
Here’s Joyville Rule #7: Joy is not a destination; it’s a journey. It’s a little trite but not untrue. Thanks, Cadbury SG, for the sweet treats! :)
