The individual items from the MAC A Tartan Tale colour collection finally arrived last Friday, so I swung by the MAC counter to take a look.
I ended up purchasing:
- MAC Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner in Undercurrent (S$27)
- MAC Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner in Black Swan (S$27)
- MAC Eye Shadow in Glamora Castle (S$33)
MAC Pearlglides are my go-to bases for intensifying shadows. Undercurrent is a teal with gold sparkles. This one is a back-up; I already have one from the MAC Art Supplies collection but I use it so often that I need an extra! Black Swan is a blackened pewter that would be perfect as a base for smokes.
I couldn’t resist Glamora Castle because it’s a smooth, shimmery grey. The tealy reflects lend it complexity and this would be a beautiful accent/contour shade on me for smokes. The blue tones won’t last, of course but I’ll enjoy them while they still show up! There’s a flash of pink in the shadow which makes me think of the duo-chromed MAC Eye Shadow in Vex; I think it’d work well with the grey. ;)
That’s a very conservative haul! :) I am overflowing with too many new MAC items, need to some organizing as I ran out of space BIG time.

I usually don’t cave to the holiday collections (a part of me knows that many items will turn up at the MAC sale events :P) but I had to get these PGLs since I like them very much! :)
I just did my own haul yesterday too!
I picked up Black Swan, Lord it Up pearlglides as well as the two nail polishes. My fav pearlglide from Art Supplies is definitely Black Line, but I’m trying hard not to back-up anything.
I was also considering Glamora Castle myself, but I should stop while I’m ahead :P

Nice buys! I swatched the PGLs and they glide on like a dream! I was at Tangs and the blush kit with oh-so-fair ( Hark the Heraldry) as well as the Vain & Glorious Lip Bag are sold out already! I only got one of the brush sets, since many of the products are re-releases.
