This autumn, Anna Sui introduces two Pressed Powder Kits, each comprising a pouch, a powder compact and a moisturising gel.
The name might sound mundane but the sets are wantables, especially if you love Anna Sui rose-motif designs. Unlike many of her previous prints, this one is monochromatic and a little more sophisticated.
My mother-in-law loved it at first sight, so I gave her the beautiful pouch. Measuring 19 x 10 x 4 cm, the fabric extends beyond the fold, which mean you get more protection for your products. :)
Both sets consist of the same gel (it can be used over makeup, apparently) and pouch, varying only in the shade of the pressed powder. The compact is 7 g, while the moisturiser is 10 ml.
Here’s a closer look at Pressed Powder 01.
A marbled swirl of Purple × Light Blue × Green, it looks more like a highlighter than a pressed powder.
However, the smooth powder offers a translucent finish with a glimmery veil (the sparkles can be buffed out, if you’re uncomfortable with the shimmer). It has a soft glow, so you could also use it as a subtle highlighter.
According to the brand, it has oil-controlling properties but I’ve not tested it extensively to verify this.
Also available is Pressed Powder 02, a swirl of Pink × Orange Beige × Ivory, which is designed to create a soft and bright finish. The visual above is courtesy of Iris, who always susses out the latest in Japanese beauty for us grateful beautyholics!
In Singapore, these limited kits retail at S$72.
The powder swirl is so pretty! Though a little shimmery for my liking but I’m sure it’ll be great to use when the mood strikes!
Hey Sara,
So P&J, eh? It does seem a little shimmery but they aren’t super sparkle-ling on the face, thankfully! I quite like the glow of the powder. :)
Hi. Do you know if these will be released internationally, specifically the US?
Hi Anahita,
I’m not sure but you could check with beauty.com which carries Anna Sui. Good luck!
