Also known as the Shareen & Joe Show, the Morning Jam is my little indulgence when I commute. Bearing the tagline ‘real people, real stories’, the well-produced podcasts are peppered with humour and current affairs-driven trivia, putting a lilt in my travelling time. If you see me giggling like a fool while holding an iPod with earbuds attached, it’s very likely that I’m listening to a Morning Jam podcast. :D
A veritable Joe of all trades, Joe Augustin is a well-known local media personality who is arguably most famous for his sonorous voice and wry sense of humour. His wife Adele happens to be my friend and she’s one of the funniest and sweetest women I know.
A recent podcast had me laughing away because of its mention of men and makeup. Shareen and Joe discuss straight men who not only get their nails done, they gamingly get makeup put on them under certain circumstances. Having had a similar experience with a friend, I could absolutely identify with the situation. :P Listen to it for a giggle or two.
And if you’re interested in a (not-so) hot Japanese chef, have a listen to this, where I’m given special mention for sending Shareen a photo link of the aforementioned chef. In my defence, I was part of the makeup crew for the F1 Jing performance at the Arts House and it wasn’t hard to spot him. ;)
The Morning Jam is having a party this Thursday to celebrate their 100,000th (*congrats!*) download. If you happen to be one of their listeners, do show them your support.
Meg! I really enjoyed that post!
Thanks for everything. You’re an awesome friend :)
See you on Thursday?
Adele dear,
I enjoy the Morning Jam so much that I’ve been wanting to write about it for a while now. :) I have to work on Thursday, unfortunately. I wish the party was during the weekend!
Hey Meg!
Thanks for sharing this with your readers. I’m really pleased that the show is able to make you smile from time to time (even if it might get you thrown off a bus one day).
It such a pity we won’t see you on Thursday.
Hi Joe!
You’re welcome…although I behave a little like a demented fool when I randomly let loose a giggle or two while plugged in. Believe me when I say I’ve received many a stare on public transport. :)
Sorry I couldn’t make it but I know it must have been great fun!
Hey Mag
Just dropped by to say hello. Saw you on dramabeans and followed your link to your site. Nice pic of the cassettes. Fits your happy blog! Which fits your sunny personality!

Hi Pat,
Thanks for visiting. What a random way to find my blog. I love that we have this K-drama connection. :D *HUGS* for the sweet comments!
