A Nature Republic Haul

May 14, 2010

It’s been a while since I’ve hauled, hasn’t it? ;) I thought so too and so I was in a spending mood, when I entered the Nature Republic store at 313@Somerset.

I purchased:

  • Color Deco Nail in GR605 (S$1.90)
  • Prism Star Eye Shadow in BK904 Golden Gray (S$7.40)
  • Eye Lover Eyebrow Cake in 2 (S$11.70)
  • Age Slick Gradation Blusher in 1 Pink Collection (S$29.40)

Like the many Korean brands that are available here, the makeup at Nature Republic is rather affordable and I was pleasantly surprised to see some of their products encased in sleek packaging.

I was quite taken by the eye shadow single because of its resemblance to Benefit Skinny Jeans and Stars Makeup Haven Metro (I’ve since discovered that those two shadows are more golden, while this shadow is greyer). It also has tiny multi-coloured shimmer strewn across its surface.

The blush with its gradated arcs of colour reminds me of Laneíge Snow Crystal Blushers. I love it because its warm and cool colour combination imparts a beautiful neutral glow. This baked beauty was the first product in the store that really caught my eye. I ♥ the mauve pink on the bottom right corner of the pan!

The dark green hue of the nail polish was quite attractive on the counter, as were the blue sparkles infused in the lacquer. It also contains rainbow micro-shimmer. It isn’t very opaque though and goes on slightly jelly-like.

I didn’t bother taking a close-up photo of the brow palette but I’ve used it and am very pleased with its shades and staying power. Will post swatches and reviews of these lovelies when I’ve more time! ;)

      Hi Lilian,

Cheap and good! ;) The nail polish shade would make a great eyeshadow colour indeed. Do take a look at MAC Minted Eye Kohl and Undercurrent Pearlglide pencils (I can only think of these, off the top of my head).

The grey es is gorgeous; been looking for good grey shades for a while.

      Hi Duzong,

I don’t think so. The SG website will be ready for online shopping soon, though. Good luck!

PS: I love that brow palette too. ;)
