First Impressions Review | Shiseido The Skincare Night Moisture Recharge

I was given two 7 ml sample bottles of this product at a Shiseido Bio-Performance Super Corrective Serum event, where the BA recommended I use it over the serum. I took her advice and sometimes used it over the latter – I really liked how supple my face was upon waking, with this combination. I also used it on its own in the day and at night; I appreciated how it sank into the skin without a greasy feel, yet gave me the moisture I need. It’s not too rich as a moisturising base (it makes a great primer for foundation) and it’s good enough to keep my skin smooth at night.

It seems to work best over a serum – besides the Bio-Performance serum, I also received positive results with this over Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Lotion. This lightweight yet slightly creamy lotion is adequate for a night’s repose in a non-air-conditioned room but you might need something a little richer if you sleep in an air-conditioned one or have dry skin.

i’ve been using this on and off (mostly on in recent years) for many years, it’s a great product–all three versions: regular, light, enriched. i think non-whitening shiseido skincare is generally underrated. pity about the generally lackluster service

It is nice when high end products actually work exactly the way they’re supposed to, isn’t it? It’s so easy to run into a dud, where a basic moisturiser is hyped beyond belief and we can duplicate the results with good ol’ Hazeline…I’ll be on the look out for this product, Mag – Shiseido skincare has generally given me consistent results. Thanks for the rec.

    Hi Stella,

I think mine sounds like it could be the regular one. I shall take a closer look at the range when I’m at the counter next!

    Hi TUG,

Ask for a sample and give it a go! I was pleasantly surprised by how well this worked for me. :)
