MAC Wonder Woman Lady Justice Eyeshadow Quad Sneak Peek

I was given a sneak peek at some products from the upcoming MAC Wonder Woman collection during the MAC Spring/Summer 2011 Masterclass conducted by MAC Senior Artist Romero Jennings last week.

Among the items was the Lady Justice Eyeshadow Quad. Comprising four complementary and wearable colours, this palette will probably be one of the more popular items from the collection which will launch internationally in March 2011.

In the palette are MAC Eye Shadows in:

  • Lady Justice – Bright silver with white pearl (Frost)
  • Insurmountable – Dirty blue grey (Veluxe Pearl)
  • Bold Babe – Deep metal blue with white pearl (Frost)
  • Deep Truth – True dark blue (Frost)

Lady Justice has a lustre that offsets the subdued nature of the other shades. Insurmountable swatches a little awkwardly – it seems more Veluxe than Veluxe Pearl, really – but it will be nice for shading. Although the palette is labelled in the above order, I think the third shade is actually Deep Truth, which I own (I have three!). Although this refined navy blue is permanent to the MAC eyeshadow line, I believe it cannot be found here. It can be found in certain MAC palettes like Shadowy Lady, though. Bold Babe is a good contour and lid shade. Overall, I think these colours will make a sophisticated smokey eye.

One of the nifty tricks I learnt at the MAC Masterclass was to mix the reddened pink of MAC Pigment in Bright Fuchsia from this collection with the inky blue of Deep Truth to produce a pretty purple.

A violet that is at once rich yet ethereal when blended out, I absolutely loved this look! ♥
