Taylor Swift Wonderstruck in Singapore

Here’s the piece of beauty news many of you have been waiting for: Wonderstruck by Taylor Swift is finally here in Singapore!

The name comes from Enchanted, a track from her latest album, Speak Now (‘I’m wonderstruck/blushing all the way home’).

The perfume seeks to capture the magic and intrigue of meeting someone special.

Created by perfumer Olivier Gillotin of Givaudan, the scent was inspired by the singer’s favourite memories and smells.

Wonderstruck is a gourmand floral fragrance composed of:

Top notes of freesia, apple blossom and raspberry
Heart notes of vanilla, honeysuckle and white hibiscus
Base notes of amber, sandalwood and peach

The charming genie-in-a-bottle flaçon is quite fascinating in that it has an iridescent rainbow finish, apparently a first in the perfume industry.

Just look at that awesome holographic glimmer! It reminds me of my beloved OPI DS Glamour from the OPI Designer Series.

The singer’s personal touch is evident in the fragrance:

The antiqued gold charms that adorn the bottle were hand-picked by Taylor and are reminiscent of her unique style. The Moravian star, dove and birdcage charms are signature decorative elements that evoke Taylor’s whimsical flair.

The charms appear once again within the intricate detail of the embossed cap, capturing Taylor’s love of hidden messages.

The carton is a modern day patchwork, homage to the many fabrics Taylor has collected on her travels.

The finishing touch to the package is a gold embossed 13, which fans will recognize as Taylor’s lucky number.

Distributed by the Elizabeth Arden group, the scent is exclusively available at Nuance-Watson Perfumes & Cosmetics stores at all three terminals of Changi Airport, from now till end-February 2012. Happily, it is also sold outside the transit area. It currently retails at S$76 (50 ml) and S$92 (100 ml) for the eau de parfum spray but the prices might fluctuate according to the airport’s pricing policy.

Singapore is the first country in the Asia-Pacific region to receive this fragrance, no doubt thanks to the high volume of traffic that our beloved airport receives daily. According to industry sources, the perfume will be available at the department stores only in the second half of 2012.

I’ve had several queries about this fragrance in the past few months and am glad that I have an answer for you at last! Good luck in snagging your bottle of Wonderstruck. ;)

Edited to add: The Wonderstruck range is now available at Sephora Singapore. The prices range from S$69 to S$109.
