L’Oréal Color Infallible (La Couleur Infaillible) Eye Shadows

Once again, the popular L’Oréal Colour Infallible eyeshadows have made their way to Singapore.

Strangely, this core range – long available across the world – only arrived after the ones in the L’Or collection. Either way, I’m glad it’s here. :)

In this set are:

• 002 Hourglass Beige
• 004 Forever Pink
• 005 Purple Obsession
• 006 All Night Blue
• 009 Permanent Khaki
• 012 Endless Chocolat
• 014 Eternal Black
• 015 Flashback Silver

One shade, 007 Unlimited Sky (a light blue) is curiously missing from the original set of nine in the ad visual. The numbering system is off, anyway; apparently there never was a 003!

Iris gave me Flashback Silver last year, Joey helped me custom purchase Purple Obsession from Hong Kong, L’Oréal Singapore sent me a few and I recently purchased 3 of my own to complete the set.

An octet of wearable neutrals and deep smoky colours, you won’t be hard put to find something suitable from the range, especially if you have a penchant for shimmery shadows with even pigmentation.

The firmly-packed powders in the pots remind me of pressed pigments.

They are all shimmery, buildable to a velvet-frost finish. The even shimmer can be fairly understated when swatched dry. When dampened, these shadows have an awesome foiled appearance.

Eternal Black is the only one in the lot that has multi-coloured glitter. It isn’t as smooth as the rest but isn’t terribly gritty, either.

All of them have an inner lid to keep the powder from loosening/disintegrating.

These colours will last on your lids (it takes me a while to clean them off without cleansing oil)…and in the pot (it’ll take ages to hit the pot base!).

In Singapore, they retail at an affordable S$14.90. They were out of stock for a while at our local drugstores but it seems like they’ve just been replenished. I was able to find them at Watsons, where they’re currently 20% off. ;)
