Sephora in Singapore: Ion Orchard Store
The largest Sephora store in Asia and only second in size to the biggest one in the world located in France’s Champs-Élysées, Sephora at Ion Orchard has an undeniably vast interior. Unfortunately, the brands it carries are neither extensive in range nor as impressive as its size, falling sadly short of expectations.
Forget about NARS – a reliable source has informed me that the brand will not be making its way to Sephora at all, having learnt of this directly from a store manager. However, I was told by one of the beauty advisors that the NARS and Urban Decay shipment was delayed, with no definite time of arrival (!). Another BA mentioned that Sephora intends to gather feedback regarding these brands and others like Philosophy before bringing them in.
I wish someone would verify this once and for all, just so we wouldn’t be kept in suspense. That said, the Clarins, Clinique, SKII and even MAC that I saw there revealed that the people in charge prefer to keep things safe – some would say boring – where beauty retail is concerned.
A quick sweep of the store reveals brands that are available at the Ngee Ann City store, as well as a few newcomers. Among others, we thankfully get to say hello to:
Burt’s Bees – So, so adorable and wonderful-smelling! I love Burt’s Bees products and always think of sweetness and babies when I use them.
The Super Shiny Lip Gloss (S$13) and Lip Shimmer (S$12) smell particularly good; the former contains citrus scents while the latter has the peppermint tingle and scent characteristic of Burt’s Bees lipbalms.
Crazylibellule and the Poppies – An extensive range of intriguing scents that come in both liquid and solid forms, the colourful packaging captures the eye immediately.
Make Up For Ever – Not so new but more accessible, now that there’s no need to traipse all the way to the brand’s stand-alone store location at Stamford House.
Principessa – Cutesy pink products for the urban princess.
Skeen+ – A trendy, anti-ageing skincare brand from France for men.
Smashbox – It’s good to see this brand return to our shores. I remember when it was available at Bugis Junction…where Urban Decay could be found in the past as well (Sephora SG management, are you getting the hint?
). The primers feel absolutely smooth and I was especially pleased to see the line-filler in a wand, Filter with Dermaxyl™ Complex.
Talika – Not only does this brand make growth gels for lashes and brows, I discovered that it also has a bust serum in its range!

ahhh~~ so fast and they've opened a second one! so jealous!!! I wanna be there.. I can just imagine myself running around all thee counters. Lol!
Looks good! Thanks for all the lovely pics, will have to go visit soon to take a look! Too bad about NARS though – the other brands just don't interest me
Awesome pictures… love it!! Thanks for loading up.
Hmm…you're right about the product choices being more conservative. This is the first time I've seen MAC in a Sephora store. But if I ever run out of Smashbox, it's good to know I can just run across the border.
I wonder how's the price range for Burt's Bees in the store. I was contemplating if to buy them from overseas or back in Singapore. Esp this facial cleanser with orange oil costs EUR 12.95, don't know if it's like SGD 26 or lower. Can anyone enligthen me? THanks.
Can't wait to check out this store when i'm back in S'pore

I read about that too, Alyssa. I’m not sure when it opens though. I wonder if it’ll be inside Sephora or next to it. There seems to be plenty of space in-store.
Hi Anon,
I have no idea, sorry. The range is rather comprehensive at Sephora though, so it might be worth your while to take a look.
Does Sephora singapore sells Stila cosmetics?
Hi Yee,
No, it doesn’t. You can find Stila at Tangs though.
Do you think Sephora Singapore will get the hint if I say NARS NARS NARS NARS NARS??? But in saying that, it looks great! If it had Nars, it would be sensational!
Hi Elle,
They did mention that they needed to gather feedback before making plans to bring certain brands in. I’d love to see NARS in person again!
Wow, i so want that principessa brand! I had a whiff of the perfume from my friend a few days ago. So addictive!
Hi Linda, I ought to take a whiff of it. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Dana!
Welcome back! This link will tell you where all the Sasa stores are: http://web2.sasa.com/SasaWeb/eng/misc/store_locator_sg.jsp
The one at Parkway Parade has closed, as far as I know. The nearest Sasa to the two Sephoras is the one at Wisma Atria. Happy shopping!
