When I read about this stapler on a Japanese blog, I was intrigued.
It works by cutting a hole into the sheets that need to be fastened, creating a tab which is folded back and through a slit.
Fastening with folds? Ingenious! Thinking it was only available in Japan, I didn’t expect to see it here. So when I saw this stapler at A “N” BC, I had to get it.
The pros – There’s no need to fumble with unwieldy staples, plus it’s sturdy, grasping sheets firmly.
The cons – Unfortunately, it can only fasten up to four sheets and even then, the inserted folds might undo themselves.
I’d say buy this for the novelty but not for its functionality, which is limited. I intend to use it to organise my bills and maybe beauty press releases, since those are usually fewer than four sheets. A tip: Staple on opposing sides to secure the folds! ;)
