My hubs and children love Chupa Chups lollipops in the strawberry cream flavour. Naturally, they made me buy the lip balm in this scent when we saw the Chupa Chups x Kiss Me Lip Balm and Lip Gloss displays.
Although it has a soft pink tinge, it shows up as a colourless balm on the lips. It smells true to the lollipop flavour but doesn’t taste like it at all – it’s not sweet and has no taste, really.
Its non-greasy consistency is similar to that of a medicinal balm – it is somewhat thick, so all you need is a thin layer. It isn’t very sticky and does have some emollience; it doesn’t drag on the lips. After trying it out, it seems to protect the lips better than it moisturises them.
At S$11.90, it isn’t cheap for a lip balm and a pot one, at that. It works to shield the lips from the elements, though and could prevent them from chapping. I do like that it softens the dry/rough bits on chapped lips and aids in sloughing them off.
just curious. i understand you have 2 boys–how do they behave around you when you go makeup shopping/put on makeup etc. etc.? :)
Hi Stella,
They’re used to it! :D They learnt the names of colours from my makeup. ;)
Love it!!! But It’s expensive!!
Hi Francimakeup,
It’s a little pricey, I’d admit.
hi babe, just wondering where is this available?
Hi Makeupaddict,
I saw it in Watsons but I’m not sure if it’s still available.
