Review | Lipstick Queen Butterfly Ball Shimmer Treatment Lipstick in Goodbye

I’ve wanted this lipstick from the Lipstick Queen Butterfly Ball collection for the longest time, so I was thrilled when I finally received it a while back after a good friend in the US custom-purchased it for me from Barneys (US$20 with free local shipping).

Described as a deep shimmering wine, Goodbye is infused with turquoise flecks that lift the plummy shade and apparently brighten the teeth.

This fragrance-free lipstick doesn’t have that purported teeth-whitening effect on me but I do love its buildable colour and silky texture.

It reminds me of MAC Hyper, only less brown and edgy-looking. Like Hyper, though, it brightens my face immediately. Needless to say, it is an instant staple in my everyday makeup pouch! ♥

    Hi Mag,

The lippie looks lovely on you. I also want to complement on your flawless skin!! I can only wish if my skin is more “co-operative”. I am going through a bad skin patch for months now. Care to share your beauty regime? ;)

    Hi Jelly8ean,

Thank you for the compliment! I use a mish-mash of skincare items but I’ve been using Hada Labo lately. I like La Mer and Sage skincare (zerozits.com) for times when my skin acts up.

Agreed – your complexion looks wonderful here … then again, you’re complexion always looks great :P Can you see the aqua sparkles once you’ve applied the lipstick?

Thank you, Kas! :) They’re barely discernible but they’re there.
